PwC UK has offered 60 tax practice
apprenticeships, implementing the government-sponsored professional
services Higher Apprenticeship framework.
Trainees are expected to join PwC tax practice
from July and will combine the job experience with classroom
learning. The aim is to achieve a recognised professional services
business qualification with the Association of Tax Technicians
(ATT).
PwC UK said students will also develop their
business skills in areas such as managing performance, commercial
awareness, and communications.
“We believe the Higher Apprenticeship will
help a wider group of potential recruits gain access to
professional services,” PwC partner and head of people Gaenor
Bagley said.
The firm said it is also assessing the use of
the framework in the firm’s advisory and assurance practices.
