PwC Switzerland revenue declines 1%

PwC Switzerland has reported a drop in fee income of 1% to CHF614m ($622m) for the fiscal year to 30 June 2010.

Assurance services brought in the most revenue growing 1% to CHF354m in the 2010 fiscal year. This was followed by tax and legal services, which grew 1% to CHF180m, and advisory services, which dropped 8% to CHF80m.

The firm said demand for advisory services is picking up again with many companies rolling out modern financial management tools, reorganising finances, improving IT architecture and transferring routine work to shared service centres.

In the coming year, PwC Switzerland plans to extend its consulting services into the healthcare sector and has already invested 10 percent of its revenue into the professional training and development of its employees.

PwC employs 2,623 people in 15 locations across Switzerland.
