PwC UK has appointed David Langlands as
specialist adviser on food and agriculture in its sustainability
and climate-change practice.

Langlands has previous experience in the
strategic planning of sustainable development as well as other
sustainability schemes such as looking at the potential of
generating energy from foodstuffs.

In his new role, Langlands will be working to
support clients in the agriculture and food supply business
sectors.

“British companies can no longer consider
themselves isolated from the global issues of food, energy and
water security,” Langlands said.

“Worldwide, governments are reappraising the
value they place on their natural resources, giving UK businesses
new responsibilities and a huge opportunity to get involved in the
debate.”
