ParenteBeard, a US member of Baker Tilly
International, has launched a sustainability practice.

ParenteBeard said the practice will work with
client’s healthcare providers, corporate and educational
institutions to establish sustainability initiatives. This includes
creating sustainability strategies, assuring the credibility and
transparency of sustainability measures in place, and creating
sustainability and CSR reports.

The team will focus on operational and
environmental assessments, the triple bottom line assessment (known
as people, planet and profit), and establishing the KPIs.

Cynthia Wollman has been appointed to head up
the practice. She joins ParenteBeard from printing company CRW
Graphics, where she served as vice president of new business
development. In her previous role, Wollman was involved in aligning
CRW Graphics’ sustainability efforts with corporate
strategy.

ParenteBeard chief executive Bob Ciaruffoli
explained the launch of the sustainability practice is part of the
firms “strategic growth plan”.

“As the sustainability practice develops what
we expect to be a stellar reputation in the business community,
Wollman will be a strong asset to the ParenteBeard team, as she
supports our firm’s values and principles and has the in-depth
experience to lead this important service for our clients,” he
said.

Wollman added: “Clients are interested in
improving the value they offer customers and increasing revenue and
profit through sustainability. Our practice will advance the
message that long-term sustainability is driven by corporate
responsibility.”
