Robert Moritz will become chairman and senior partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers US (PwC) on 1 July.
Moritz, who currently leads the firm’s assurance business, will succeed Dennis Nally, who will become chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers International.
Moritz joined PwC in 1985 and has held a number of leadership positions.
Before becoming leader of the assurance business in 2006, he served as managing partner of the firm’s New York office and led the US-wide financial services practice.
Moritz has extensive experience serving large multinational clients in a variety of industries, principally in the banking, capital markets, insurance, investment management and real estate sectors.
He also served on a three-year assignment with PwC’s Japanese member firm where he provided audit and advisory services to European and US-based financial services organisations operating in Japan.
