Mazars has appointed the former head of
financial institutions for the Central Bank of Ireland, Jonathan
McMahon, as the firm’s global head of bank regulation and
restructuring.

McMahon has worked as the Irish representative
to the European Banking Authority and Mazars says he was closely
involved in the restructuring of the Irish banking system.

In his earlier career McMahon has worked for
the UK Financial Services Authority and Deloitte.

McMahon says he joins Mazars at a time of
change for the financial services industry.

“In the coming years, many banks will have to
make very significant changes to their balance sheets and business
models, Mazars has extensive practical experience of the actions
required to effect these changes,” he said.
