Kreston International has hired Andrew Collier
as director of quality and professional standards. Collier replaces
Sue Almond, who left the post in October to take up a role as the
ACCA’s technical director.
Collier, who begins his role in December,
joins from RSM International where he led the network’s global
quality control review programme.
Kreston International executive director Jon
Lisby said Collier’s experience and technical expertise will be an
asset to the network.
“In addition to global quality, Andrew’s role
with us will incorporate initiating guidance and practical support
to audit teams on complex and current issues and the continued
development of the network’s shared group audit methodology and
tools,” he said.
“Andrew will also co-ordinate Kreston’s
responses to public policy issues which has particular significance
with the current EU proposals for change in the audit market and
legislation to foster more competition and choice for the benefit
of clients.”
Almond was Kreston International’s inaugural
quality control director and was employed to help the network make
the transition from association to network.
