Kreston has recruited its fist Kenyan member
firm as part of its East Africa strategy.

Wambui-Muchungu & Co is based in Nairobi
and has two partners and 20 professional staff.

Wambui-Muchungu & Co specialises in audit,
accountancy, taxation and consultancy for the private and public
sectors.

Kreston recruited the firm following a
recommendation from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants
of Kenya, which ranked the firm among the top 25 in the
country.

Kreston has a strong presence in West Africa
and is now looking to develop an East Africa group that will
include representation in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Kreston already has a member firm in Sudan,
which joined the network in June.

Kreston executive director Jon Lisby said the
network is also actively looking for a new member firm in South
Africa as it has lost its previous member there.
