Shortly after offering its consulting services
to the government for free, KPMG UK has won a tendering contract to
help GPs become financial commissioners for National Health Service
(NHS).

KPMG will help GPs across NHS in London to
develop skills they will need as future commissioners such as
financial management skills, contract management and engaging with
local councils and other stakeholders.

GPs are facing a transition to legally
accountable commissioning organisations in April 2013.
