KPMG Europe plans to recruit 7,500 staff in
three years as Iain McLaughlin is unveiled as the new head of
recruitment.

McLaughlin previously worked for
GlaxoSmithKline in a number of roles across the human resources and
recruitment sectors. He was most recently the company’s global
talent business leader where he was involved in working with
commercial businesses in the emerging markets sector.

The European firm expects to recruit around
7,500 people in the next three years, including 3,000 in the UK.
KPMG Europe will increase in size to 38,000.

Commenting on his appointment, McLaughlin
said: “The recruitment market has become more buoyant across the
board in recent months. Demand has grown and so has supply, as
people have become more confident about leaving their present
position for other jobs.”
