KPMG has expanded in Mongolia by combining its
team with professional services firm NIMM Audit, a former Nexia
International member
NIMM Audit provides audit consulting and
valuation service for companies in mining, transport, energy,
financial services and the public sector, among others.
The 50-staff firm will work alongside seconded
industry experts from other KPMG firms with the aim of establishing
the largest service provider of its kind in Mongolia.
KPMG’s move into Mongolia is a sign of the
country’s growing strategic importance. KPMG International chairman
Michael Andrew explained there are solid growth prospects largely
driven by vast untapped mineral reserves and need for
infrastructure development.
“Globally, KPMG has very strong energy and
natural resources and infrastructure practices, with deep
experience to support the new Mongolian firm and contribute to
these important projects,” Andrew said.
