Tim Payne has been appointed as the head of
people for KPMG Europe.

In his new role Payne, who was previously the
European chief operating officer of people, will work across all 12
KPMG Europe member firms looking after 32,000 staff.

Prior to his most recent position Payne was
the head KPMG UK’s human resources department. He led the
department during the financial crisis of 2008 to 2010.

He takes over from Rachel Campbell who is now
global head of performance, people and culture for KPMG Europe.

“I am really proud to be taking on this
role. The quality of the services we offer to our clients is
absolutely dependent on the quality of our people, which is why it
is fundamental to us that we recruit, retain and develop the best,”
Payne said.

“My priority is to make sure we have the right
talent for today and tomorrow, whilst ensuring our longer term
talent strategy is aligned to our clients’ future
requirements.”
