Jan Zurek has been appointed managing
partner of KPMG Czech Republic.

Zurek is taking
over the role from Frantisek Dostalek, who has managed the firm
since 2001 and will continue to work as chairman and chief
executive of KPMG Central and Eastern Europe
(CEE).

Zurek began his
career with KPMG in 1990 and is one of the founders of KPMG’s Czech
office. In 1993, Zurek became a partner responsible for tax
advisory and from 2005 he was in charge of tax advisory in the 19
countries covered by KPMG CEE.

Zurek
will continue to be a member of the executive board of KPMG
CEE.

In his new role, Zurek plans to
strengthen the firm’s personnel structure through the recruitment
of high-calibre university graduates and experienced
professionals.
