KPMG is to acquire German consulting firm
BrainNet Supply Management Group (BrainNet). BrainNet specialises
in procurement consulting and supply chain
management, offering bespoke solutions in research,
development, operations, logistics, purchasing and strategic
qualification.

“With the acquisition of BrainNet, KPMG will
have an even greater depth of knowledge and global footprint to
help member firm clients navigate their most complex supply chain
challenges and opportunities,” KPMG global head of advisory Mark
Goodburn said.

As a result of the acquisition, KPMG is to set
up a Centre of Excellence to provide support for the procurement
and supply chain management offering of its member firms.

KPMG said the centre will be led by Christian
Rast, the current chief executive of BrainNet.

The financial agreements of the deal can not
be revealed and KPMG said all of BrainNet’s staff will be moving
over to KPMG.
