CABA, the wellbeing charity for ICAEW chartered accountants and their families, has announced the appointment of Kaaeed Mamujee as President. With over 27 years’ experience as a chartered accountant, Kaaeed has been a dedicated CABA Trustee for five years.

Kaaeed’s background includes periods working as a Financial Controller for multinational companies such as United Biscuits and Calor Gas, to acting as non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for the NHS Leicestershire County & Rutland Primary Care Trust.

As CABA’s President, Kaaeed & the Board will have oversight of the implementation of the newly launched five-year strategy.

Kaaeed Mamujee said: “I am delighted to take on the presidency of CABA and to be able to contribute directly to a cause that makes a real difference to the lives of so many of our fellow chartered accountants and their families. Over the course of my presidency, I want to use the full force of the charity to further break down the stigma surrounding mental health. I will focus on raising awareness of the support that’s available and highlighting the importance that an employer plays in employee mental health through their wellbeing strategies, mental health initiatives and their ability to provide the best care and support in the workplace.  I also want to continue to work with our members of all ages to help them to find a better solution to the unsolvable issue of juggling work and home life.

“I would like to thank my fellow trustees for placing their trust and confidence in my abilities and in particular I also wish to thank Sue Field, our outgoing President for her hard work and dedication over the past three years. I want to acknowledge the work which Sue has undertaken in helping to raise CABA’s profile and awareness in business and in practice.”
