IFRS seeks comment on interpretations committee

A review is being made into the effectiveness of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Interpretations Committee.

The committee, formerly known as IFRIC, is comprised of 14 members and deals with any issues that arise in financial reporting.

The review is to be conducted in the form of a questionnaire and a report of its findings is estimated to be published in the first half of 2011.

Comment is expected on or before the 31January 2011.
