HLB International (HLBI) has signed Latvian
firm SIA Auditorfirma Inspeckcija AMJ (Inspeckcija AMJ) as part of
expansion plans for the Baltic region.

Inspeckcija AMJ is based in Riga and will be
HLBI’s first member firm in Latvia. Set up in 1997, the firm
provides a full range of auditing services alongside accounting,
administrative and financial services.

HLBI chief operating officer James Frost said
Latvia has seen increased investment opportunities since it joined
the European Union in 2004 and the network felt it important to
find a firm in the area.

“A core element of our strategic plan is to
expand our international practice, attract new business and
encourage staff development,” Inspeckcija AMJ managing partner
Māris Biernis added.
