HLB International (HLBI) has appointed Darryl
Swindells as the chairman of the network’s audit working group.
HLBI said the audit working group will be
responsible for the networks quality assurance programme and the
production of an audit and assurance manual.
The voluntary group’s new chairman Swindells
is an audit partner at HLB Mann Judd in Sydney.
Swindells said the increasing globalisation of
auditing standards and the complexity of audit requirements places
increased responsibility on audit firms.
“The work of the audit working group with the
member firms of the HLBI network continues to be a vital resource
to ensure the quality, timeliness and compliance of audit work for
clients of HLBI’s member firms, and the availability of high
quality audit services across the globe,” he added.
