Haines Watts, the UK’s 15th largest accounting
firm, has joined multi-disciplinary network Geneva Group
International.

Haines Watts managing partner Andrew Bodkin
told the International Accounting Bulletin the firm entered
negotiations with Geneva Group due to a growing client demand for
cross-border services.

“In terms of our client base, the world seems
to be getting a bit smaller and everybody is doing a lot more
overseas trade now. We felt [The Geneva Group’s] worldwide coverage
and their position among international networks would help us
better serve our client base,” he said.

Haines Watts has about 1,000 employees in 60
offices across the UK and specialises in serving owner-managed
businesses. The firm reported fee income of £55.7 million in the
year to 31 March 2010.
