Grant Thornton US acquired the assets of Huron
Consulting Group’s disputes and investigations practice and placed
60 professionals into the Grant Thornton Economic and Advisory
Services practice group with immediate effect.

The acquisition is part of a strategy to
double revenue in the next five years.

Huron’s disputes and investigations practice
specialises in business disputes, forensic accounting and
investigative services, purchase price/merger disputes, tax
controversies and valuations.

“Grant Thornton’s strategy for growth is an
increased focus on serving the needs of dynamic organisations,
including those undergoing critical events, such as litigation,
forensic investigations and mergers,” said Larry Redler, Grant
Thornton’s national managing partner of economic advisory services
practice.
