Grant Thornton UK is planning to restructure
some of its personal tax divisions, which could result in job
The firm said the changes will allow clients
to have personal tax returns completed through either a local or
centralised office, helping to streamline services. As a result,
job losses could be announced.
A Grant Thornton spokesperson said the
decision is not a headcount reduction exercise and the firm is
hoping to save as many jobs as possible through
relocating staff and offering similar roles.
The centralised personal tax compliance
service will be based in Southampton and Kettering but Leicester
and Bristol will also be affected by the changes.
