Grant Thornton South Africa has appointed
Deepak Nagar as national chairman. Nagar will replace Leonard
Brehm.
The chairman begins his role in March and has
been with Grant Thornton South Africa for 18 years. He will remain
the managing partner of Grant Thornton’s Durban office and was
previously the chairman of the Independent Regulatory Board for
Auditors.
“I will most certainly continue driving Grant
Thornton South Africa vision to double revenue by 2015, further
progressing the firm’s aggressive growth strategy in the years
ahead through mergers and acquisitions and via organic growth,”
Nagar said.
Grant Thornton South Africa has 824 staff and
annual revenue of ZAR412.2m ($50.7m).
