Grant Thornton International has appointed
Pascal Boris and Coline McConville as its first external
independent board members.

Boris, who was previously BNP Paribas (Suisse)
South Africa chief executive, is currently the country head of BNP
Paribas in Switzerland. A role he has held since September
2007.

Prior to these roles, Boris was a French
foreign trade advisor and used to chair the French Chamber of
Commerce in the UK.

McConville is a former chief executive of
advertising agency Clear Channel Europe. Her most recent role was
as European media adviser for private equity firm, APAX.

The appointments are for a three year term and
are renewable once for a two year period.

The Grant Thornton International board of
governors now consists of 16 members.
