Grant Thornton UK has acquired litigation
support and eDiscovery consultancy firm, Legal Inc.
Legal Inc has 14 staff and specialises in
eDiscovery services, a process of forensically investigating
electronic data to obtain evidence.
The company will contribute to Grant
Thornton’s forensic advisory service and continue to provide
solutions to existing clients, including corporate counsel, law
firms and government regulators on early case assessment to file
review and electronic presentations.
Grant Thornton forensic managing partner Steve
Cornmell said the acquisition of Legal Inc would allow the firm to
address the “fast-moving world” of information and provide a new
capability to their forensic division.
Founding partners of Legal Inc Dipak Patel and
Lisa Burton will be leading the ediscovery solutions team.
