Ernst & Young Canada (E&Y) has added eight senior professionals to its transfer pricing team.
Greg Noble, leader of E&Y’s transfer pricing practice, says the addition will help the practice better serve clients and work more effectively with Canadian tax authorities.
Another reason for the expansion is new regulations surrounding transfer pricing enforcement, which E&Y says will lead to multiple jurisdictions competing over the same taxable income.
E&Y predicts that in two years Canadian multinationals will be facing greater tax risks, which will result in more tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.
The new team members are Phil Fortier, Sandy Goldberg, John Oatway, Gary Zed, Rene Fleming, Fred O’Riordan, Kevin O’Reilley and Al Rizzuto.
