Ernst & Young (E&Y) have appointed Hywel Ball as
assurance leader for the UK and Ireland.
The appointment is part of the firms restructuring of its UK and
Ireland team under new manager partner Steve Varley. Ball takes
over from John Flaherty who continues as a senior audit
partner.
Ball previously served as E&Y Europe,
Middle East, India and Asia sector leader for energy, chemicals and
utilities and has worked in the firm’s London and New York offices.
Ball will continue as E&Y Scotland to oversee the launch of the
practice’s plan for growth of 20% by 2013.
