Ernst & Young (E&Y) has appointed
David Holtze as global vice chair for tax and member of the firm’s
global executive.

Holtze joined E&Y 30 years ago and has
been global chief operating officer for tax since 2008.

Before becoming COO of tax, Holtze spent nine
years in New York, where he was CFO and then COO of the Americas’
tax practice.

From 1993 to 1999, Holtze was the Midwest
Sub-Area Tax Leader, based in Minneapolis. He also served as the
financial services leader for tax and as a tax account leader on a
number of large clients.

The newly appointed vice chair said clients
are facing unprecedented changes and the most challenging tax
environment seen in decades.
