Ernst & Young LLP (EY) has appointed Frank Mahoney as region managing partner for the US-West. He will be responsible for a regional practice of 10,000 professionals spanning 18 states and 27 offices. He also serves as a senior advisory partner for several of the region’s largest clients and continues to serve on EY’s US Executive Committee and the Americas Operating Executive.

Mahoney, who is based in Silicon Valley, brings more than three decades of experience with EY to his new role. He formerly served as the Americas vice chair for assurance, where he led 20,000 audit, financial and reporting professionals. He also led the digital transformation of the US firm’s audit practice and oversaw the launch of EY Canvas and EY Helix.

Mahoney succeeds Kay Matthews and Randy Cain, region managing partners of the West and Southwest, respectively. Both retired in June 2019 after more than 35 years with the firm.
