The number of females promoted to partner by EY in the MENA region has tripled from last year, with three becoming the first female nationals in their respective countries to join the EY partnership. Heba Wadie, an Egyptian national, has been promoted to partner in the Egypt tax practice, Esraa Albuti, a Saudi national, was promoted to partner in the Saudi tax practice, and Emirati Wardah Ebrahim has been promoted to partner in the assurance practice in the UAE.
Overall EY announced the admission of 20 new partners to its service lines and industry sectors across the MENA region, bringing the total number of partners in the MENA practice to 218. The number of females promoted to partner in 2019 has tripled from those announced in 2018.
The new MENA partners are based in EY offices in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, joining the advisory, assurance, transaction advisory services, and tax practices.
