Top 30 firms Eide Bailly and Wipfli are to merge in June
creating the 12th largest accounting firm in the US.
The merged entity will be branded as EB Wipfli
and led by Eide Bailly chief executive Jerry Topp.
EB Wipfli is expected to generate annual
revenue of $314m and will manage around $3 billion in assets. The
firm will have 2,327 staff including 301 partners, serving about
70,000 clients from 41 offices across the west-central United
States and two offices in India.
EB Wipfli would be placed just below the
11th largest firm Moss Adams, which has $316m and 1,687
staff, and above Plante & Moran, which has revenue of
$298m.
Topp said the firms have already achieved
success through personal business relationships.
“We know clients appreciate our genuine desire
to learn more about their businesses, and value our ability to
apply our knowledge to their specific needs. This will not change
with the new firm.” Topp said.
Eide Bailly is currently an HLB International
member and Wipfli is affiliated with PKF North America.
A spokesperson told International
Accounting Bulletin that a decision on future network
affiliation is yet to be made.
