Deloitte Australia has grown annual revenue by
18% to A$1.1bn ($1.1bn) in the year to 31 May 2012 – the first time
it has broken the A$1bn mark.

Deloitte chief executive Giam Swiegers said
the increase in revenue resulted from investments in analytics,
technology and economics as well as an influx of audit clients.

Deloitte has been on a rapid rise in the past
five years, doubling in size. Only in 2007, the firm posted revenue
of A$626m and in most of the subsequent years has outgrown its
larger Big Four rivals.

Key sectors for the firm include financial
services, energy and resources, the public sector,
telecommunications, media, technology, property and tourism.

By July, Deloitte predicts it will have 520
partners and 4,900 staff.

“Our investment in partner talent clearly
demonstrates our confidence in the Australian economy despite the
current volatility in Europe and our commitment to our 2015
strategy to grow the firm,” Swiegers said.
