Deloitte UK has appointed Zahir Bokhari as
head of the banking and capital markets audit business within the
firm’s financial services group.
Bokhari has more than 20 years of experience
with Deloitte, particularly in audit, assurance and advisory
services for retail banking and capital markets.
Bokhari was previously a senior banking audit
partner and has knowledge of reporting requirements, helping
financial institutions implement IFRS and conducting risk
reviews.

Collins said Bokhari’s appointment comes at a demanding time for
the financial services industry, particularly in light of the
changing regulatory and accounting landscape.
“[Bokhari’s] wealth of experience and
knowledge will play an integral role in guiding Deloitte’s clients
through these changes as the industry continues to evolve,” Collins
said.
