Deloitte has set up Deloitte Digital, a global
consulting practice focusing on the IT and new digital technology
market.

The practice will be led by Deloitte Australia
where 200 of the 1,000 Deloitte Digital practice employees will be
based.

As part of Deloitte Digital the firm has also
set up nine ‘studios’ across the US, UK and Australia.

Deloitte Digital Australia lead partner Frank
Farrall said the launch of the practice emphasises the value of
emerging technologies.

 “Our clients continue to need a
combination of business, creative and technology services in the
mobile space. With this in mind we [Deloitte] recently acquired the
innovative US based mobile digital agency, Ubermind,” Farrall
said.

“We believe that Deloitte Digital can now
combine the best aspects of a creative design agency, a global IT
consultancy, and an industry-centric business strategy firm in one
organisation, expanding our leadership position in the digital
market,” he noted.
