Policy strategist Andrew Johnstone-Burt has
been appointed leader of Deloitte Australia’s public sector
industry team.
Johnstone-Burt, who previously held the
position of global leader of public sector practice at management
consultancy firm Booz & Company, returned to Australia from the
UK late last year.
He is a former Royal Navy lieutenant with 10
years military service experience under his belt as well as 20
years advisory experience in strategy, people, change, and
information and communications technology.
At Booz & Company Johnstone-Burt’s work
included policy reform and fiscal sustainability spanning the
public sectors of Australia, the United Arab Emirates and
Europe.
The appointment signifies Deloitte’s ambition
to grow its public sector advisory practice and follows the firm’s
recent union with teams from economic and commercial advisory firms
Access Economics and SAHA Australia.
“Having Andrew on board with his extensive
local and global experience in the public sector policy reform,
supports our next stage of growth,” Deloitte Canberra office
managing partner Lynne Pezzullo said.
