Deloitte UK has
appointed a second heads at its Centre for Regulatory
Strategy.

David Strachen will lead
the centre jointly with Clifford Smout from April 2011.

Strachen is currently
director of financial stability at the Financial Services Authority
(FSA) and has spent four years as the UK’s FSA representative on
the Basel Committee. He has also helped develop the Turner Report
and led implementation of the Tiner Review of regulation within the
UK insurance industry.

The Deloitte Centre for
Regulatory Strategy analyses the implication of regulation for the
strategic direction and business models of financial services
firms.
