Chris Harvey has been appointed as head of
Deloitte’s global financial services industry (GFSI) group.

Harvey takes over from Jack Ribeiro, who was
appointed chairman of the GFSI group.

Harvey will focus on helping Deloitte member
firms grow their financial services businesses. He will mainly
focus on firms in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern
Europe, while continuing to consult member firms in the US, UK,
Europe and Africa.

Harvey said it is an extraordinary time to be
working in the financial services sector on a global scale.

“As the industry anticipates an avalanche of
regulation, Deloitte member firms will continue to work closely
with both clients and global regulators to help navigate through
the changes and capitalise upon opportunities,” Harvey said.

Harvey has 18 years of experience in the
consulting business and has been partner in Deloitte UK’s
consulting practice since 2002 and global head of banking and
securities since 2008.
