Deloitte and PwC have signed the Tech Talent Charter, aiming to increase the number of women involved in technology-related roles.
The Tech Talent Charter was launched two years ago to address gender inequality within the technology industry and since then it has gained 88 signatory companies from different industries.
Deloitte joined the Women in Finance Charter earlier this month and managing partner for talent Emma Codd said that a diverse workforce was critical to long-term success, especially considering the rise in technology-related roles.
Neither KPMG or EY have signed up to the charter but a KPMG spokesperson stated that the Tech Talent Charter was a positive initiative; "Diversity is very close to our heart and the aims of the initiative mirror our business values.”
EY declined to respond to our query at the time of publication.
