Deloitte has added Mongolian firm, Onch Audit,
to its network.
Deloitte Onch currently employs 50 people and
plans to recruit an additional 15 over the coming months.
Deloitte said Mongolia is important for
Deloitte due to the opportunities in the energy and resources
sector, particularly the mining activity.
The new member firm will continue to be led by
the firm’s founder Onchinsuren Dendevsambuu.
Previously Onch was a senior auditor at Arthur
Andersen and Ernst & Young in Ulaanbaatar and
Moscow.
“We are delighted to be expanding in what is
fast becoming a critical market for the Asia-Pacific region, and
the global economy as a whole,” Deloitte chief executive Barry
Salzberg said.
