US firm CBIZ has acquired the non-attest
business of accounting firm Thompson Dunavant (TD) based in
Memphis, Tennessee.
Founded in 1997, TD provides tax and financial
consulting services to clients in a variety of different industries
ranging from small businesses to large multi-national
companies. It has 83 associates and reported about $15.7m in
revenue past fiscal year.

they have a strong focus on client service and team development.
These commitments coupled with the opportunity to be part of a
national company will provide new growth opportunities for us and
enhance our long-term commitment to our clients and our community,”
TD managing shareholder Stephen Dunavant said.
CBIZ currently has 150 offices in 36 states
across the US. The firms chairman and chief executive Stephen
Gerard said the acquisition was part of CBIZ’s growth strategy to
expand its geographic coverage.
