Reinder Brummelman has been appointed chairman of BDO
CampsObers, the Dutch member firm of BDO International. He will
begin in his new role on 1 January 2010.
Brummelman has
been a partner at the firm since 1995 and in 2008 he was appointed
to the board of directors.
As chairman of
BDO in the Netherlands, Brummelman will also sit on the policy
board of BDO International.
He is currently
responsible for the audit and assurance, and consultancy
services.
Brummelman will
succeed Martin van Roekel, who will have completed his second term
as chairman.
Roekel will
move over to BDO International as the global head of network
development and Europe chief executive.
BDO CampsObers
is the fifth largest firm in the Netherlands according
to International Accounting
Bulletin data.
The firm reported fee income €212 million in the year to 31
December 2008 and has more than 2,000 staff.
