EY has appointed Bishr Ibrahim Baker as Markets Leader across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, effective 01 July 2019. He will oversee the MENA growth strategy with a focus on digital transformation and innovation across services lines, regional geographies and key sectors.

Bishr has been with EY for over 17 years and prior to this role, was the managing partner of EY Jordan, Iraq, and Syria. He has over 30 years of experience in audit and transaction services covering financial services, telecommunications, and government. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the Jordan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
