BDO UK’s revenue falls 7%

BDO UK has reported a decrease in revenue of
7%, from £335m ($535m) to £312m in the year to 2 July 2010.

The majority of BDO’s core service lines
suffered a drop in revenue in the past year including audit, which
fell by 7% to £92m, business restructuring by 7% to £53m and tax by
8% to £83m.

The service line with the largest drop in
revenue was forensic services, which dropped 18% to £31m.

The firm’s bright spot was corporate finance,
which had an increase in revenue of 13% to £35m.

BDO reported both non-audit and audit client
revenue decreased overall by 9% and 5%, respectively.
