Holger Otte has been appointed as chair of BDO
Germany’s executive board.
Otte is a long standing member of BDO’s
executive board and an internationally experienced auditor.
His responsibility as chair will be to
strengthen BDO’s position in Germany through differentiating it as
a convincing alternative to the dominating Anglo-American audit
groups.
Otte’s focus will be for BDO to target the
larger mid-market companies, especially owner-managed
businesses.
Werner Jacob will join Otte on the executive
board as vice chairman.
International leadership
role
In addition to his new role as chairman, Otte
will become chair of the BDO International policy board, the
central governing body of the worldwide Network, as of 1 January
2011.
Otte’s appointment to the policy board will
allow him to continue to develop the life work of his father,
Hans-Heinrich Otte, who co-founded the international BDO
network.
External Relations
Christian Dyckerhoff, who has been
spokesperson for the BDO Germany executive board for 13 years, will
assume the newly created board position for external relations.
Dyckerhoff’s responsibility will be to
maintain and develop national and international relations between
BDO and public institutions, associations and professional
bodies.
