Baker Tilly International’s Polish member
firms have merged to create one firm in the country.

Baker Tilly Poland and Baker Tilly Smoczyński
i Partnerzy will now be known as Baker Tilly Poland.

Audit services will be managed by David James
and Monika Byczyńska while Joe Smoczynski will lead business
development at the firm.

Baker Tilly Poland chief executive Steven
Foster said the firms have worked closely for several years but the
merger will help simplify management and communications between
them.

Baker Tilly reported fee income of PLN52.2m
($18.6m) in the year to 31 December 2009 and a total staff of 329
in five offices, according to the most recent
International Accounting Bulletin Poland survey.
