Baker Tilly merges with Robson Taylor

Baker Tilly Bristol will merge with independent chartered accountants Robson Taylor to create a £7.5m business ($11.5m).

Robson Taylor has six partners and 40 staff located in Bristol and Bath. Its core business is advising regional and national owner-managed businesses and private clients as well as offering corporate finance and tax services.

Robson Taylor’s strategy is said to compliment Baker Tilly who has a strong presence advising listed companies, particularly on Alternative Investment Market.

“Merging with Robson Taylor gives Baker Tilly a great platform from which to grow our business in the South West. Robson Taylor is highly regarded by the business community and the team has excellent knowledge and experience across all areas,” Baker Tilly Bristol managing partner John Banks said.

“We believe that our clients and staff will reap the benefits of combining the businesses as we capitalise on the opportunities for long term success.”

Baker Tilly is a top 10 UK firm with more than 2,200 staff and 280 partners across 27 offices. The firm’s annual fee income is £204m.
