Baker Tilly International has appointed Eyala
Horowitz as its new regional chairman for Europe, Middle East and
Africa.
He succeeds Ted Verkade, who in eight years
helped the network expand from 30 firms to more than 80 firms that
generate combined revenue of $1.13bn.
Horowitz is the former managing partner and
CEO of Baker Tilly in Israel.
“I am honoured to be given this opportunity.
Europe, Middle East & Africa is the network’s largest region in
terms of coverage – 81 firms operating in 71 territories – and also
the most diverse. I believe the region has a lot of untapped
potential,” he said.
“Through effective communication and
collaboration between member firms I am committed to driving
cross-border business within the region, sharing expertise among
firms and further building the Baker Tilly brand.”
Verkade will remain a member of Baker Tilly
International’s international board.
