Ankura names Simon Michaels first chairman of EMEA and APAC regions

Ankura has appointed Simon Michaels to the newly created role of chairman of Ankura’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. He will be based in London and will be part of Ankura’s executive leadership team.

Michaels spent more than 20 years in the business restructuring practice at BDO UK LLP, where he became a partner, then head of the business restructuring practice, followed by eight years as BDO’s UK managing partner and a member of the board of directors of BDO International. Most recently, Michaels led BDO’s corporate advisory practice.
