Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has appointed
Joel Mostrom as a senior director of its US real estate advisory
service.
Mostrom was previously an executive vice
president and chief financial officer of Chesapeake Corporation, a
publicly-traded international supplier of packaging products.
Mostrom has work for A&M in the past as a
senior director of the firm’s private equity services operations
group in New York.
A&M real estate advisory services global
head Michael Camp said commercial real estate investors will face
mounting challenges as billions of dollars of debt come due over
the next few years.
“Mostrom’s financial and operational real
estate expertise coupled with his private equity experience makes
him a valuable addition to our growing team,” Camp said.
Mostrom’s appointment follows the appointments
of Scott Morey as the London-based head of A&M’s European real
estate practice and Klaus Kretschmann, who was appointed practice
leader for distressed real estate based in New York.
Mostrom will be based A&M’s Atlanta
office.
