KPMG UK, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) UK and
Ernst & Young UK have been presented with Big Ticks in the
annual Business in the Community (BITC) Awards for Excellence.
Big Ticks are awarded to companies that
demonstrate the positive impact of responsible working practices on
both society and their own business.
KPMG and PwC both achieved the highest
possible rating, Platinum Plus, in the BITC’s Corporate
Responsibility Index, a UK benchmark of voluntary corporate
responsibility.
KPMG was awarded two Big Ticks for its
environmental leadership and employability programmes.
KPMG was also recognised for demonstrating
positive impact against one or more of the United Nations
Millennium Development Goals and for collaborative action with
other companies that has had a positive impact on the
community.
PwC was recognised for investing in a number
of training programmes and events to allow internal development
opportunities.
Ernst & Young received a Big Tick for its
education programme, which focuses on supporting young people in 20
state schools across UK and Ireland. Ernst & Young was also
recognised for the ongoing success of its education partnership
scheme.
