Online gaming entertainment and solutions provider 888 has appointed Mark Summerfield as an independent non-executive Director and as Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee. The company’s audit committee now comprises Mark Summerfield (Chairman), Zvika Zivlin and Anne de Kerckhove.
888 Chairman, Brian Mattingley, said: "With his extensive experience working with boards and audit committees of major listed companies, Mark brings a wealth of experience to 888. This will be of considerable benefit as the Company continues to grow and pursue its strategic objectives. He will be a valuable addition to the Board and the Audit Committee and I am delighted that he has agreed to join us."
A Chartered Accountant, Summerfield worked for KPMG in the UK and US for 29 years, 18 as a partner. His roles included Global Head of Gaming, UK Head of Audit for Technology, Media and Telecoms and UK Head of Assurance. He was also William Hill Plc's interim CFO for 15 months, helping set the group's strategic direction and assisting with its transformation and technology programmes.
